Callantsoog is a pleasant seaside resort with a central village square with nice shops, cafes, restaurants, terraces and a fish specialty store, which are open all year round. In high season the shops are open every day. The supermarket is open all year round, 7 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. There are cozy beach pavilions on the beach, where you can enjoy a delicious meal during the season. The landscape around Callantsoog consists of beach, sea, dunes, polders, flower fields, forest and the internationally acclaimed nature reserve Het Zwanenwater. Zwanenwater is a 615 ha beautiful dune area with 2 large dune lakes, swamps, ponds, heath and a forest.
COAT OF ARMS
The weapon was already used in the 18th century; however, the lion had not yet turned back. This made the coat of arms equal to the coat of arms of Holland in the 18th century.

GROOTE KAAP
The Zanddijk-Groote Kaap is a round red painted steel lighthouse with a white lighthouse on the North Sea coast in the dunes between Groote Keeten and Julianadorp aan Zee on the territory of the municipality of Schagen. The original tower was built in 1966 and then replaced an openwork light curb at that location
